Booking notes

How to book a piece.

Iris takes a small number of clients each week. Bookings open monthly — the next intake is announced first to the studio mailing list, then on Instagram.

01

The process

  1. A

    Send a brief

A few sentences on the idea, reference images, rough size, and where on the body. The fuller the brief, the better the first sketch.

  2. B

    Quote & deposit

If the piece is a fit, you'll receive a quote within a week. A $150 non-refundable deposit holds the appointment and goes toward the final price.

  3. C

    Sketch review

A pencil draft is shared 5–7 days before the appointment. Two rounds of revisions are included.

  4. D

    Studio session

Greenpoint, by appointment only. Sessions run 2–6 hours depending on scope. Cash or Zelle preferred for the balance.

Frequently asked

Do you take walk-ins?+

No — every piece is custom and drawn for the client. The studio is appointment-only.

What styles don't you take?+

Tribal, cover-ups of saturated colour work, anything photo-realistic, and replicas of another artist's design.

Can I bring a friend?+

One guest is welcome if the piece will run more than three hours. The studio is small, so two is the limit.

How do I prepare?+

Sleep, eat a real meal, and hydrate the day before. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours pre-session and direct sun for two weeks after.

What about touch-ups?+

Free within six months of the original session, on pieces from this studio.
